Eva (Ingrid García Jonsson) is a young lawyer with a really promising future that lives in Edinburgh. However, her own wedding plans will come at risk in the moment when her grandmother Sofía (Verónica Forqué) announces her marriage with her long-time friend, Celia (Rosa María Sardà). Conservative and religious family traditions are menaced by an old lady that is planning a marriage with another old lady. Eva will try all her best to stop that wedding with the help of Celia’s son. However, against all odds, the family of the gowns will support them, a support that Eva didn’t count on at the beginning.
Eva will find herself in a vital situation in which she will learn what is really important in life. ‘Salir del ropero’ is the debut of Ángeles Reiné. It is a different family comedy and a song for freedom about the right of people to do what they want to do. It tells the difficult relationship between the members of a particular family that have been distanced for years. The news about the grandma’s wedding with another woman will do that the family becomes vulnerable and starts to topen theirselves and discover what they were inside. The film is produced by Andrés Santana, a four Goya Awards’ winner and it counts with the performances of David Verdaguer, Candela Peña and Pol Monen, among others.
