After his parents’ split, Ben, a defiant adolescent boy, is sent to spend the summer with his father and is assigned a job at the nearby marina as a means to instill some structure in his life. Despite the picturesque setting of the tourist town, Ben finds little solace there. Instead, he must confront the entitled local teens and adapt to his father’s new romantic partner, all while navigating the complexities of his own emotions and rebellious nature. The challenges he faces during this time will test his resilience and potentially lead him toward personal growth and understanding.
As Ben’s troubles escalate, he stumbles upon a disconcerting revelation regarding the occupants of the neighboring house. It becomes evident that a malicious entity from the nearby woods has ensnared the parents, manipulating them into a twisted game of pretend. The spirit sets its sights on the unsuspecting children, gradually erasing their identities and subjecting them to its malevolent whims. Ben finds himself thrust into a harrowing battle to protect the innocent, determined to unveil the truth and put an end to the sinister force’s reign of terror.
