Sheep Without a Shepherd is drama thriller film directed by Sam Quah, and written by Kaihua Fan, Jeethu Joseph, Sheng Lei, Peng Li, Yuqian Qin, Weiwei Yang and Pei Zhai. The film stars Audrey Hui, Jerry Chih-Wei Huang, Joan Chen, Ming-Shuai Shih, Paul Chun, Philip Keung, Tianyang Bian, Xiran Zhang, Yang Xiao and Zhuo Tan.
40 year-old Li (Yang Xiao) and wife Yu (Zhuo Tan) have 2 daughters after toiling in Thailand for 17 years. Li finds himself well-liked among the community they are living in. However, their peaceful life takes a turn for the worse. In a city where trafficking and drug exchanges are on the high, justice is often unserved. Li’s daughter gets sexually attacked by the Chief Police Officer’s (Joan Chen) son. In order to protect the young girl, Yu accidentally kills the attacker. As Li had previously witnessed how the police take things into their own hands, he knows that the law will be of no use. To protect his daughter and his family, he buries the attacker’s body and uses the legal knowledge he learned through movies to get by law enforcers.
