17 Blocks is documentary film directed by Davy Rothbart, and written by Davy Rothbart and Jennifer Tiexiera. The film stars Emmanuel Durant Jr., Akil Sanford, Cheryl Sanford, Justin Sanford and Denice Sanford-Durant. It primiered at 27 April 2019 on Tribeca Film Festival.

Footage from two decades of intimate home video is used to tell the story of the Sanford family, who live just 17 blocks from the U.S. Capitol and whose struggles with addiction and gun violence lead them through a journey of love, loss, and acceptance.
