The story of musicians, The Runaways are the first girl rock band starring Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Curry (Dakota Fanning). They had hard lives growing up but became rockstars in the end. Their first hit single was Cherry Bomb.
The Runaways stars Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Michael Shannon, Scout Taylor-Compton and Brett Cullen. The Runaways is directed by Floria Sigismondi. The film depicts the formation of the band in 1975 and focuses on the relationship between Currie and Jett until Currie’s departure from the band.
