While journeying to his late father’s memorial service in the remote Appalachian region, a violent tempest causes Marquis (Omari Hardwick) to lose control of the aircraft carrying him and his loved ones. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself wounded, isolated, and confined within the attic of Ms. Eloise (Loretta Devine), who asserts that she can restore his well-being through the Boogity, a Hoodoo effigy she has fashioned from his blood and flesh. Stranded without means to seek aid, Marquis must employ cunning and shatter the grip of her malevolent sorcery to rescue his family from a diabolical ritual before the ascent of the crimson moon.
