Sloane (Roberts) and Jackson (Bracey) loathe the holiday season. They consistently find themselves without a partner, relegated to the kids’ table, or enduring uncomfortable dates. However, when these two strangers cross paths during a particularly disastrous Christmas, they strike a deal to be each other’s “holidate” for every celebratory occasion in the upcoming year. With a shared aversion to the holidays and a firm belief that they have no romantic interest in one another, they become the ideal plus-one for various events, leading to a series of comical and provocative escapades. Yet, as the year of unconventional celebrations draws to a close, Sloane and Jackson discover that embracing everything they despise might unexpectedly uncover a newfound love between them.
