For All Mankind is created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi. Told through the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families, For All Mankind presents an aspirational world where NASA and the space program remained a priority and a focal point of our hopes and dreams.

The season will be set in 1983, about 10 years after the first season and in the midst of the Cold War. Edward Baldwin has made sacrifices in his career and chosen a path where his family becomes the most important thing in his life. Gordo will have lost hope. He will look back at the choices he made that got him where he is. Tracy will become a bona fide celebrity. Gordo and Tracy will go through a major transformation and Tracy will understand where Gordo was when they started out.
