Climax is psychological horror film directed, written and co-edited by Gaspar Noé. 21 young dancers are ready. One more day and then they will go on tour, first in France, then in the USA. They gathered before leaving. They want to dance together. Get closer. Talk and celebrate. The music is constantly pumping beats into the room. Sangria flows freely.
The mood is great. Until Selva (Sofia Boutella) makes a harrowing discovery: someone mixed drugs into the drinks. Little by little they begin to work. Panic spreads. The culprit is sought, a collective horror trip begins. Fear turns into paranoia, subliminal aggression turns into open violence, and affection turns into uncontrolled desire. The energetic choreography dissolves into chaos. The dancers stumble, stumble and dance on in the utmost ecstasy until dawn when the police arrive and discover the full extent!
